AnviCare
is an important partner for the PPN in its mission of clinical integration
and has its own free web-based electronic claims clearinghouse as
well as a Windows based Practice Management Software.
Freeclaims.com Clearinghouse
A
New Way to Process Claims
It's a data-intensive
task, and for large medical practices, often requires dedicated
staff. Hundreds and thousands of insurance claims: all your patient
accounts, multiple insurance companies, procedure codes, diagnosis
codes, HCFA forms to print, envelopes to stuff, stamp and post.
And if it's not done correctly, there's re-work, re-submittal, and
delayed payment. Of course there's a better way.
Now
on the Internet
Today
the Internet provides an obvious solution and natural application
for even the smallest practices to benefit from immediately: you
use your PMS to prepare and batch up your claims, then instead of
sending it out over a VAN or dialing up a clearinghouse, you simply
open your browser, access your member account at FreeClaims.com.,
and upload your batch file. You get confirmation that your batch
was received, within minutes along with notice of any difficulties
or errors. Quickly. Securely. Any time of the day or night, from
anywhere in the world. And for standard HCFA claims to payors who
accept electronic claims, it's free.
How can it be
free? Because everyone has a vested interest in efficient electronic
claims processing. Because electronic processing saves everyone
money. The most straightforward types of claims to process sail
through the system, freeing staff to handle the "special"
cases and resolve anomalies. Once a claims processing system is
understood by the user and the data coming in is known to be reliable,
it literally runs itself.
To capitalize
on FreeClaim.com's efficiencies, the provider, IPA or billing professional
needs to have a large volume of claims to process monthly, a means
to electronically format claims, a method for batching the claims
in a file, and an Internet connection. The AnviCare support people
work with your staff up-front to be sure they can format, batch,
and submit claims, and that the complete processing cycle occurs.

Claimstronic
Practice Management System
Claimstronic
is AnviCare's practice management system and was first offered to
the medical community in 1994. It is a Windows based software that
makes it easy to standardize your practice, patient and insurance
data from the point the data is created through its many accesses
and updates throughout the encounter, billing and claims processes.

The
Health Information Network
The Health
Information Network (THIN) is a valuable partner with the PPN in
assisting our physicians with electronic billing and with claims
data collection for clinical integration purposes.
THIN is an electronic
claims clearinghouse service for healthcare providers. It allows
physician offices to file all health insurance claims electronically
which reduces administrative costs, speeds claim payment and improves
accuracy of payment.
THIN also enables
physician offices to determine benefits and eligibility for various
carriers and government programs electronically. THIN is committed
to working with all PPN contracted payors to assist them with electronic
connectivity. The THIN system is designed to be simple to use. It
can be integrated into the software systems typically used in the
physician office.
